  10. 1) Welcome to your evaluation copy of Vocabulary Trainer 1.5.
  11.  
  12. You are welcome to use this program and evaluate it for a period
  13. of 30 days.  After which you must either delete it, or pay the
  14. registration fee.  Hundreds of hours went into this project to
  15. bring you a fine quality program, that will only increase your IQ.
  16.  
  17. Not all areas and features of this program are enabled, since it is
  18. an evaluation (demo) copy.  After you register, you will receive the
  19. full blown program, fully enabled.
  20.  
  21. There are several ways to make an evaluation copy of a program.  I won't
  22. go into all the different reasons I chose the disabling feature method, 
  23. but I will tell you that installing, running, and deleting this program
  24. will not mess up your computer, or your registry.  It is a simple
  25. program that you can see how most of the features work, then if
  26. you like it you can easily register, (Purchase), this program.

  28. It is an evaluation version in very much the same way you get free
  29. food samples at the grocery store.  You sample enough of it to see
  30. how you like it, then you can purchase the entire product if it works
  31. for you.

  33. With this evaluation version, you have a button on many of the program
  34. screens that has a picture of a hand holding a piece of paper.  
  35.  
  36. I named this button the "Reserved" button.  Press it and you will see what
  37. is reserved for you in the registered version of the program on this particular
  38. screen.

  40. The registered version is many times larger than this sampler.  
  41. In it there will be no "Reserved" buttons, and every program feature will 
  42. be fully usable and enabled.

  44. If you need help anywhere in the program, simply press the F1 key.
  45. Online help will help you negotiate the screen you are on.

  47. The English language is the wordest language in the world.  We currently
  48. have about 455,000 active words, and about 700,000 words that are dead
  49. and have been retired from our vocabulary.
  50.  
  51. The words in this program were taken from different magazines, books,
  52. newspapers and speeches.  They are for the most part eloquent words that
  53. a successful person should know and use.  Each word has been used very
  54. recently in a publication or broadcast.

  56. Perhaps you are familiar with some of them, or many of them.  You will find
  57. many of them on the GRE list of vocabulary words. 
  58. (A GRE, "Graduate Record Examination", test is a preparation for a master's 
  59. degree or a Ph.D.)

  61. If you buy and use the program as intended, you are guaranteed of success 
  62. in a powerful and very useful vocabulary.  Vocabulary is a very useful 
  63. muscle in expressing yourself and your feelings.  Developing your vocabulary 
  64. automatically develops your reading, spelling and writing skills.

  89. Since this is the shareware (evaluation) copy of Vocabulary Trainer 1.5,
  90. it is limited on some of the program's features.

  92. You still can see enough in this program to get a good idea of what the
  93. complete program is like.  When you register (pay for) this program, you
  94. will get the entire program, with every feature enabled for your enjoyment.

  96. In this evaluation copy you have about 120 words to study, and you still
  97. can take two tests.  You still can view all the study tips for
  98. learning new words, and you still can enjoy features such as CD-Rom music
  99. and changing font/screen colors etc.

  101. Please keep in mind that this is only a demo of what the complete program
  102. will look like.  For the small amount of money it cost you to register
  103. this program, you would be hard pressed to find a better allocation of your 
  104. money that would benefit you or your children for the rest of your lives.

  106. Don't forget that Vocabulary Trainer 1.5 is fully expandable, and it will
  107. never fill up.  You can edit the word list, add to them, subtract from them
  108. and use the program the rest of your life.

  113. Below that is the definition of shareware.  Since few people realize
  114. what shareware really is, I felt it was important to apprise you.

  117. execute the program.  If you do not agree with these terms, press one
  118. of the other two buttons, and the program will exit.

  143. 4) DEFINITION OF SHAREWARE

  145. Shareware distribution gives users a chance to try software
  146. before buying it. If you try a Shareware program and continue
  147. using it, you are expected to register. Individual programs
  148. differ on details -- some request registration while others
  149. require it, some specify a maximum trial period. With
  150. registration, you get anything from the simple right to continue
  151. using the software to an updated program with printed manual.

  182. Vocabulary Trainer 1.5 is a "shareware program" and is provided at no 
  183. charge to the user for evaluation.  Feel free to share it with your
  184. friends, but please do not give it away altered or as part of
  185. another system.  The essence of "user-supported" software is to
  186. provide personal computer users with quality software without
  187. high prices, and yet to provide incentive for programmers to
  188. continue to develop new products.  If you find this program
  189. useful and find that you are using Vocabulary Trainer 1.5 and continue 
  190. to use Vocabulary Trainer 1.5 after a reasonable trial period, you must 
  191. make a registration payment of $19.95 plus $4.00 S&H to WormSoft Productions.  
  192. The $19.95 registration fee will license one copy for use on any one
  193. computer at any one time.  You must treat this software just like
  194. a book.  An example is that this software may be used by any
  195. number of people and may be freely moved from one computer
  196. location to another, so long as there is no possibility of it
  197. being used at one location while it's being used at another.
  198. Just as a book cannot be read by two different persons at the
  199. same time.

  202. copies of Vocabulary Trainer 1.5 within 30 days of first use or their license

  206. Anyone distributing Vocabulary Trainer 1.5 for any kind of remuneration must
  207. first contact WormSoft Productions at the address below for authorization.
  208. This authorization will be automatically granted to distributors
  209. recognized by the (ASP) as adhering to its guidelines for
  210. shareware distributors, and such distributors may begin offering
  211. Vocabulary Trainer 1.5 immediately (However WormSoft Productions must still
